Cookie Policy

1. The short version

This website sets no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. The only things we store are two small preferences in your own browser's local storage, and they never leave your device.

2. What we store and why

• hbt-theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, so the site looks the way you left it. Stored until you clear your browser data or switch theme again.
• hbt-cookie-ack — remembers that you have dismissed the notice banner, so we don't show it on every visit.

Both are "strictly necessary" preferences under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR): they exist solely to provide functionality you have asked for, contain no personal data, and are not shared with anyone.

3. Third parties

• Google Fonts — the site loads two typefaces from Google's servers, which means your browser requests files from Google. Google does not set cookies via this service.
• Formspree — if you submit our contact form (once enabled), the submission is handled by Formspree, whose own privacy practices apply to that request. See our Privacy Policy.
• eBay / Amazon / WhatsApp — following links to these platforms takes you to sites with their own cookie policies.

4. Managing your preferences

You can remove both stored values at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings (usually under Privacy → Site data). The site will simply fall back to your operating system's light/dark preference and show the notice banner again.
